Six Sigma Green Belt course prepares participants to perform the role of a Six Sigma Green Belt. The Six Sigma Green Belt training materials comprise a comprehensive curriculum covering everything within the Six Sigma Body of Knowledge required to successfully complete Green Belt certification. After achieving this qualification, Green Belts contribute their knowledge and expertise utilising the DMAIC methodology and the relevant tools during execution of a project in their work unit as a project manager under the supervision of a Black Belt.
The Six Sigma Green Belt certification program is perfect for participants with limited or no exposure to Six Sigma who want to achieve their Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate without achieving Yellow Belt Certificate. The Six Sigma Yellow Belt body of knowledge is covered on the first day and the additional topics are covered in the remaining 2-days for upgrading to Six Sigma Green Belt.
After passing the knowledge exam, participants will be certified as Six Sigma Green Belts.
As a bonus, if the participants want to apply their knowledge and complete a project, after successful completion of the Six Sigma Green Belt Project Portfolio within 6 months, they will achieve another certificate that includes the project title. A project examination fee of $550+GST is payable if applicable.
The certificates will be granted under the Exemplar Global banner according to the ISO 18404 international standard.
The ISO 18404 Exemplar Global Certification also includes the following services free of charge for 12 months:
As all Six Sigma Green Belt topics are covered during the course, there is no formal prerequisite for the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Intermediate numeracy and statistical knowledge are required.
I really enjoyed the course and will be back to complete my black upgrade hopefully for the October round.
I highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to further their knowledge in lean six sigma tools. CBIS did an excellent job in blending the belts together to first of all get an understanding of the yellow belt tools and then delving deeper into the tools of a green belt which is the level I attended. Trainer is highly educated when it comes to lean six sigma and is very engaging in his delivery in the classroom. Complex at times but Arash manages to make everything relevant to all participants so all attendees can easily follow along. I now can’t wait to apply my knowledge to eliminate waste in working processes.
On behalf of the NetComm teams, I would like to say thank you for giving us the training last week. The information you provided us is of great value to our Manufacturing and Quality Engineering use cases and definitely helped us to get through the exam.
James prepared us well for the exam and took extra time to explain and ensure we understood all concepts.
Lean Six Sigma is a process improvement program that combines two ideas: Lean as a collection of techniques for improving flow in the value stream, eliminating waste and reducing the time needed to provide products or services, and Six Sigma is a collection of techniques and methodology for uncovering root causes to understand and reduce variation, consequently improving the quality of products and services, substantially contributing to increased customer satisfaction.
By combining the two methodologies, Lean Six Sigma is a proven business management strategy that helps organisations operate more effectively and efficiently by reducing variation and waste.
The organisations will benefit from the Lean & Six Sigma training and application through:
This will be achieved by performing interactive tasks, to achieve the following learning outcomes:
In the Lean Six Sigma environment, the qualifications and the level of engagement of a project team are ranked by different belt colours, which is a concept borrowed from Eastern martial arts. Yellow Belt is the first recognised level of Lean Six Sigma certification which can be upgraded to Green Belt and then Black Belt as the second and third recognised levels. Master Black Belts (MBB), as the highest ranked belt, is a common accreditation for professionals who work as the Lean Six Sigma senior trainer, consultant or coach as their career.
“Public Classroom” training is run based on a fixed schedule at a public training venue for a group of people from different organisations. We also offer the “Virtual” option on the same schedule as our Public training for the people who prefer to attend the courses virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, travelling constraints, etc.
“In-House” training is delivered on a more flexible schedule at the organisation’s premises for a group of internal people. For more details on the In-House training option, please refer to the In-House Training Page.

There are several accreditation bodies in existence including, IASSC, ASQ, Exemplar Global, The Council for Six Sigma Certification, 6sigmastudy, etc. Each body of knowledge may differ, but all are credible. Some, such as ASQ requires an affidavit for your project work, but others provide knowledge-based certification exams and do not require a project submission.

The number of questions differs depending on the Six Sigma programs listed below. The exam duration and pass mark are also included:
All the exams are closed book and proctored. If required, all formulas and tables one will need during the examination are provided in a reference document. Scratch paper is also furnished to candidates but must be destroyed prior to leaving the testing facility.
You can retake the exam and pay for the exam fee only. A retake exam cannot be undertaken more than once within a 2-week period and cannot be taken more than a total of three times within a 3-month period.
All certificates are granted for a period of three years from the time the candidate has received their Certification.
After that time, an Elapsed Status will then be applied to the Certification unless the participant has successfully been recertified via submitting project(s) portfolio or passing the recertification exam. Recertification exams are abbreviated versions of the Certification Exams. The number of questions and the duration is half and the Pass mark is 70%.
